Revitalizing MLK Blvd.: KSU Architecture Students' Vision for a New Gateway to Downtown Macon

Inspired by successful revitalization projects like Tulsa’s Black Wall Street, KSU students are immersing themselves in one block of MLK Jr Blvd., reimagining Macon’s historic Greenwood Bottom District with bold, innovative ideas. This semester-long endeavor reflects the students’ commitment to creating meaningful and sustainable designs. Their work focuses on connecting the historic Greenwood Bottom Black business district to downtown Macon.

Micro/Macro: KSU_Arch Exhibition

Architecture professor Michael Carroll with his fifth-year Focus Studio students designed and mounted the exhibition Micro/Macro: KSU_Arch that was part of the Atlanta Design Festival from October 13th – 22nd, highlighting student projects from each year of the KSU_Architecture’s Bachelor of Architecture program and included, drawings, large physical models, and video projections.
